LOS ANGELES, Cal., April 25. -- The first concrete result locally of the arrest of the two McNamaras and McManigle was the announcement to-day that the Bricklayers' Union, which had planned to go on a general strike here on May 1, has abandoned the plan. They had expected to join with the Carpenters' Union and other building trades and tie up all construction work.

George Wilder of Stansted Castle, Sussex, England, and his wife, Una Evelyn Mazie Wilder, formerly an actress, each aided by detectives, hunted each other in this city for months. He was intent on bringing divorce proceedings; she desired a reconciliation. His quest was the more successful, as Mrs. Wilder was served on Monday afternoon with papers in a suit for divorce he began in London on April 13.
