Omari Sirazhudinovich Akhmedov (born October 12, 1987) is a Russian professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the Light Heavyweight division. He previously fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Professional Fighters League (PFL).

LEAD: The Cooper Companies said that its Coopervision group had received approval from the Food and Drug Administration to begin marketing the first ultraviolet light-blocking contact lenses in the United States. Cooper, which is based in Palo Alto, Calif., has been marketing the Permaflex UV lenses in Canada, West Germany and Britain for the last year.

Barney, chairman and chief executive, said that incremental sales gains averaging 15 percent in Superbar company stores had encourgaed Wendy's to expand the test program.

LEAD: The Union Pacific Railroad said it would eliminate about 100 jobs in restructuring its marketing and sales department. About 60 staff and management workers and 40 union workers will lose their jobs in the reorganization, the railroad said. The marketing and sales department now has about 870 people worldwide.
