Izvestia links A Solzhenitsyn to underground news bulletin 'The Chronical of Current Events' in account of Yakir-Krasin trial on Aug 30; also repts that 4 foreign newsmen, J Axelbank, R Leddington, D Bonavia and E Caretto, were said to have served as conduits between 2 accused men and 'anti-Soviet foreign centers'; witness I V Rudakov reptdly identified R Leddington as having passed unidentified 'anti-Soviet' publication to defendants for distribution; other 3 Western newsmen were accused of having sent unspecified anti-Soviet information abroad for defendants; unusual publicity given to alleged involvement of Solzhenitsyn and foreign newsmen seen as part of effort to both discredit the Nobel prize-winner and to discourage contact between Russians and foreigners; in related development, open lr published Aug 30 and signed by 30 prominent writers, including M Sholokhov, K Simonov, V Katayev, C Aitmatov and N Fedorenko, condemns Sakharov and Solzhenitsyn in latest attack of official campaign against them
